TRAINING
We are dedicated to helping our clients and their supply chain partners respond to the rapidly evolving field of social compliance. We encourage open and transparent communication throughout the global supply chain, and support this goal through a host of training programs.
WORKERS
Enhancing workers lives through labor rights, workplace safety training.
Workers often lack basic information about their legal rights and the ways in which they can protect themselves. As a result, workers are susceptible to illegal, unfair and unsafe labor conditions, and often unable to access the protections that can alleviate these harms.
Insite's compliance specialists provide workers with training on a number of topics, including understanding wage calculations, the basics of social compliance and how to stay healthy and safe in the workplace. We also partner with issue-specific specialists to provide life skills training, with a special focus on women’s issues.
VENDORS & SUPPLIERS
Promoting vendor and supplier ownership of social compliance.
Our training goes beyond teaching vendors and suppliers to follow their customer's requirements; we show them how to understand and take responsibility for their own social compliance standing.
Training can be broad in scope, covering the basics of developing a compliance program, such as creating a code of conduct and policies and procedures. They can also focus on a specific topic, like record keeping, improving worker-management communication or understanding and addressing the motivation of female workers.
CORPORATE
Driving cross-organizational commitment to corporate social responsibility.
We provide training for companies' employees and management - those who have direct responsibility for supply chain management - on human trafficking and slavery, particularly with respect to the risk-mitigation requirements of the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 and the UK Modern Slavery Act.
We also provide training on the basics of social compliance, with a focus on educating sourcing and production teams on how to recognize non-compliance observed during a visit to a supplier’s facility, and explain how to report these issues in a way that does not jeopardize the safety and well-being of workers.
Our training also addresses the ways in which an employee’s day-to-day decisions can impact the success of a company’s compliance program, and provide tools for addressing departmental silos and defending socially responsible objectives from the influence of other business goals.
